The first conversation

A 90-minute conversation about your business and the life around it

One thorough conversation and a short written summary of what we agree.

The first conversation stands on its own. Whether we meet again is something you decide afterwards.

The 90 minutes

How the time is used

The order follows what you bring.

Jacob Top Møller at a table
  1. 01What you want from it

We start with what you want from the conversation and what you would like to have decided or tried by the time we finish.

  2. 02Two or three real pieces of your work

We look at concrete examples: a client, an offer, a week in your calendar. For each one, we look at what you were paid, the time it actually took, what it gave the client and what came with it afterwards.

  3. 03Patterns and other perspectives

We look for patterns and contradictions in what you have described. When I have seen something similar in another field or company, I say so, and you decide whether it applies.

  4. 04A step you choose

We turn the conversation into a concrete step you choose, together with what you want to notice or learn from taking it.

You leave with at most three things to try and one to start with.

  5. 05Checking and agreeing

In the last minutes, I check that I have understood you, and we agree whether further conversations make sense at all.

How I work

What I bring to the conversation

I listen for what you want and for what you keep coming back to. I will point it out when your plans and your calendar say different things.

When the question is about clients, offers or prices, I bring in what I have learned from building and scaling companies.

The choices and the next step stay yours.

What you tell me stays between us.

Who you will talk to: my story and the three conditions I run my company by

Afterwards

A written summary, and your choice about what comes next

After the conversation, you receive a short written summary of what we agreed, including the step you chose.

If you want to continue, we agree what you would like to work on and how often to meet. Further conversations are 60 minutes, and you do not commit to a set number of sessions.

Any other collaboration, for example practical help with the business beyond our conversations, is agreed separately and is never a condition of the coaching.

Questions

Practical questions

Do I commit to a programme?

No. We begin with one conversation. If you want to continue, we agree what you would like to work on and how often to meet. You do not commit to a set number of sessions.

Should I prepare anything?

You are welcome to think about what you would like to get out of our conversation. You do not need a precise goal or to know where to begin. We will work that out together. The questions on the coaching page are a good place to start. The second step looks at two or three real pieces of your work: a client, an offer, a week in your calendar. You choose which.

Can we alternate between online and face-to-face sessions?

Yes. We can choose the format that makes sense for each conversation and agree the practical details directly.

What if I need to move the conversation?

Write or call, and we find a new time.

Can I come before I have started a business?

Yes. Decisions about how the business earns money and how much of it depends on your own hours are easier to shape before you start.

Is coaching a form of therapy?

No. Coaching works with your goals, your choices and your business. It is not therapy, health treatment or crisis support. For health questions, use a licensed healthcare professional.
